Exactly.  In my opinion, when breeders of any animal start breeding for
certain traits, they overlook others.  Sometimes, when horses(or dogs or
cats) are bred for show, they go for a certain look, and lose wonderful
aspects of the original type(in my Himalayan cat's case, they forgot the
brain).  That's why I look for a horse that has bloodlines NOT going back to
"pretty" show stuff;  instead I look for solid, endurance lines behind
him(or her).  I am not saying I won't look at a "pretty" arabian, actually
the more athletic they are, the prettier they are in my book, but I want to
make sure the package is complete.  I already have a pretty cat.
