fabtron??

HI ridecampers....I still am not going to buy a saddle for a while, but it is
good to start looking early, right??? I know, I know, get a horse
first...THAT'S THE PLAN :) My question is....does anyone ride in a fabtron
saddle, or has anyone ever ridden in a fabtron saddle?? I used to have one
and I liked it, but I sold it because it had a horn. Now, I don't care if it
has a horn or not, I would prefer one without a horn. I have gotten bucked
off more than once and ended up on the horse's neck and couldn't get back on
the saddle because the horn was in the way. I just had to slide off of the
horse. Once, though, he was running and bucking and I took a header into a
gravel road when I "just slid off"....HAD MY HELMET!!! I am a good rider,
but he was a good (or should I say bad?) bucker. Anyhoo...I would have a
saddle with a horn, but would prefer one without. I would get a wintec
english saddle but I could also get a western style endurance saddle (no horn
:} ) Fabtron has an endurance saddle that looks exactly like my old fabtron,
but without a horn...hmmmm, this could be something worth looking in to!
Incase you're wondering, Fabtrons are saddles of mixed breeding...they are
part leather and part cordura. The seat, pommel and cantel are leather, and
the skirts and fenders are cordura. I really liked my fabtron, it seemed to
fit most horses. And would someone clarify the difference between full
quarter horse bars and semi quarter horse bars...are full 1/4 horse bars just
wider? Thank you!!!!
