Re: Wild Horses Debunked!



Just a comment about the statement made that cattle are destructive to the
extent that they push out the wild herbivores---if that statement were true,
there would be no elk, antelope or deer populations on public grazing lands,
let alone privately held cattle ranches.  C'mon up to Colorado---there are
tremendous herd of elk everywhere to the point that if the herds aren't
reduced, they'll soon be starving due to the poor rainfall this
season---nothing to do with cattle grazing.  For that matter, some of the
biggest, fattest herds of elk and deer are to be found on private ranches,
thus Colorado's "Ranching for Wildlife" program so that ranchers can get a
little money for letting deer hunters hunt their land.  For all the
destruction those cattle are supposedly causing, somebody apparently forgot
to tell the elk.
