Bravo Sandy!
As the owners of over 3000 cattle that run on national forest during the
late spring-late fall, management is of up most importance. If we didn't
manage our forest units that we run on, our livelihood would crumble away.
My husband's great great grandfather homesteaded the ranch in the early
1880's. Our children are the 6th generation here on the ranch. My
husband's great grandfather lobbied congress to take part of the lands that
were not homesteaded and turn them into Forest Service property to be used
by the people. This land is owned by the government, but managed by the
permittees and forest service personnel. Though we may not agree all the
time on how things are run, we do work together.
