If cattle ranching is such a losing proposition, why don't all those
examples you cite, including yourself, give it up and let the grasslands
restore themselves and the fences fall down? The flora and fauna of the Utah
bioregion would indeed thank you.
 
 
And if all the transplants would move out of Montana, tear up all the cement and pavement and take their ridiculous houses and cars with them when they leave...the flora and fauna of the Montana's bioregions would indeed be forever thankful ;o)
 
Persons who have never explored well managed grazing lands.... or spent time following the people around who ranch those well managed grazing lands...should limit their observations to that which they are familiar.
