Re: Horse slaughter



It has always been my opinion (not very popular in some circles) that
reproduction of any species should require some sort of license.  Totally
unfeasible, but still wish it were so.  Before you can breed horses, it
should be required to take a tour through a slaughterhouse and take a look
at all the purebreds, probably better than anything you ("you" meant in a
general sense)can produce, going through the chutes.  Before you breed dogs
or cats, you should have to spend a week on euthanasia duty at an animal
shelter.  The same should probably apply to human reproduction as well, but
I'd get way too many people mad at me if I suggested such a thing.

The problem is not that slaughterhouses exist, it's that there are thousands
of people irresponsibly producing reasons for the slaughterhouses and animal
shelters to exist.
