I agree. Let's keep all toddlers and small kids indoors. Hey why not
watching TV. That will keep them safe and it will have nothing to do with
the parents ego.

Now lets get real:

Think about the people who parents put them on horses to ride when they were
young because the kids wanted to ride the "horsie", the ranch kids that
"helped" mom and dad etc. I have grandkids that ride our horses. Yes with a
helmet on at all times, me too. No they haven't done any endurance rides as
they are to young by AERC but we do take them when we go camping and ride in
the hills. The horses they are on are "bomb proof" and they know when a
child is on them. Yes, people, there really are "bomb proof horses" out
there and we own 3 of them(arabs). We stop and rest usually when "grandma"
is tired. The g.kids are still fresh. When they get old enough we will do
endurance, oops excuse me, LD rides to start with (still don't know what the
difference is) but in the mean time we will just have to do our own " LD
rides" when we camp.
Yes, there are some people with big egos but I don't think the Lewis family
is one. They have been doing this for years and are great people. And it's
good to know that there are some families who take their children outside
away from the TV, etc to enjoy nature and the wonderful world of horses.

Enough said on this subject. Lets get on with the real question, is it
Friday yet?
