I'm no veteran racer, but last year at the Lake Sonoma 50, many of the top
runners were clipped.....bottom part of neck, chest and belly.  My big mare
ran pretty hot, so I am think ing of clipping before this ride this year.
Lake Sonoma is Oct 21.  We are, in Northern Calif, dealing with cool nights,
some frost here.........but day temps in the 70's and 80's.
