    We took our horses for their first ride to the Renegade Ride.  Both were 
5 yrs old.  Did all 5 days, but, didn't ride the LD's.  We've done that ride 
every year except this last year.  BTW, still riding these same horses.  "Ima 
Liberated Lady" & "Katie Bar The Door."
    Katie had never done an endurance ride before and Lady was 5 days into 
her 5th year.  Lady had did a year of LD's before that because she was only 4 
years old.  Went slow the first day and continued to work our way up in 
placings everyday.  We actually top ten'd the last day 9th & 10th of that 
year.  We had a lot of fun.  Prepare for all kinds of weather!  The saying in 
NM is, "If you don't like this weather, just wait 5 minutes."
    Two years ago we had sun, rain, hail, and back to sun.  All before 1st 
vet check!  It's a lot of fun though, you should go.
