Saddleright pad

Hi guys,

I'm coming out of lurk mode......regarding the recent thread about saddle
pads, and since the archives are not functioning, I'd like to ask a question
about the Saddleright pads. According to the manufacturer, these are the
best pads for _all_ horses in every known discipline. Are any of you using
a Saddleright? They're awfully expensive, but I'm getting desperate. I know
they are lined with wool felt, but I wonder about heat buildup. They also
sell a thin wool liner you can use under the pad. http://www.saddleright.com

I've been using a woolback pad with and without ultra-cell inserts, but find
it's just not working that well, too bulky and causing rubs on my mare's
withers, while other pads do not. Believe me, I made many custom
modifications to my pads to try and get them off her. And I know the root
of all evils is not the pad, but the saddle fit. I'm doing the best I can!
The Free & Easy saddles sound promising.

I just bought a used Kurfurst Von Bayern endurance saddle and am considering
using the Saddleright. I do CTR here in the Northeast on a Standardbred.

Thanks for any and all input,

Laurel Hickey in NY
