RE: solar power system

Lif,

Where'd you get that photovoltaic system you're using now? Tell us about it.

We lived for 2 years with one deep cycle battery & one solar panel for our
sole source of electric power. It ran lights in our travel trailer, ran
the pump for the shower in our Sooner horse trailer's living quarters
(our bedroom/bathroom - when we bought that second horse trailer, little
did we know it would be more than a home away from home - it would BE
home!). Of course you have to be conservative, but there's nothing wrong
with that. When wanting 110 volts or on cloudy days we did have to
supplement with a generator - but I hate the noise, so we were careful.

We still have a photovoltaic system for our power source, but it's much
more sophisticated these days. For one thing, we've got an inverter, some
giant batteries and the system runs this computer I'm typing on, the
"entertainment" system & the lights, not to mention light power tools. But
that original battery & solar panel (and now a control charger, just to be
safe) is still on the horse trailer, still working fine after over 6
years. Lif
