Ive tried it, but gave it up after one time.  When I ride with headphones I 
can't "hear" my horse - either literally or any other way.  Plus the beat 
of the music makes me impose that on my riding and therefore my horse - and 
that speed/rhythm might not be appropriate for the horse or 
trail.  Possible good for arena work but it's definitely not for me on the 
trail.  (For the boredom factor on known trails I have been known to 
indulge in paperbacks, tho).  Lif
