Re: RC: Re: Re: Buck-O-mania

Hi Sandy
Don't count on it. I had a mare who bucked me off 3 times and I had a
chicken bar (first time got caught with my pants down-totally
unprepared; second time bucked so hard that my knee pulled the D ring
right out of my saddle when it hit the bar--- I landed behind the saddle
at that point and the better part of valour was to bail and the third
time was when I put on a martingale and a head check and she couldn't
buck so she went into a somersault--- I bailed). Each time I got right
back on her. Her last defense was to stop and not move and I got a stick
(we were on trail) and beat her little fanny til she walked home--- slow
but she went.
Then I vowed I was going to sell her to a rodeo guy because I had never
seen a mare who could buck like that!! ( A Eucalyptus daughter for those
into bloodlines) and I sold her to a cowboy and he took her on the river
(like me) and galloped her and tried everything but there was NOT ONE
BUCK left in her.
Of course, I lost count of how many black and blue marks I had all over
my body and told Mark that if he wasn't nice to me, I was going to go on
Oprah and say I was a victim of spousal abuse (might as well get some
mileage out of it <BG>)
