Re: Arabian Dogs

Hi, Louise.  Most trainers cringe at the very thought of trying to train a Jack Russell.  Personally, I think its because they give trainers an inferiority complex.  Having said that, however, I have a friend whose JR bitch is doing really well in obedience and agility, so I guess it's not impossible.  I just don't have the patience.  As long as they come when called and love me beyond all measure (a trait I look for in dogs, horses and men!) I'm happy.

Tracey I have to second JR Terriers.  I was taking my young female Tootsie to obedience class and she was trying to attack all the German Shephards, Roties, Dobies, etc.  We did the 8 week thing, and I thought we did very well, actually she did better outside of class when no other dogs were around.  Anyway at "graduation"  Tootsie received the most improved award and was advised to leave it go at that and not come back for more obedience.  I think she wore out the trainers patience.  Louise
