RC: tying up and heat cycles

Any change in diet? Working habits? Although I have had
many mares (and competed when they were in heat) I only had
one who had a tie-up problems and we finally realized she
could not tolerate ANY changes in diet... even a neighbor
chemically treated his lawn or shrubs would affect her (as
the chemicals would drift our way). A newly mowed field
could case her problems....newer and different grasses
exposed...

We had to adopt an entire new management approach, just for
her (but she was worth it).
