Re: Feeding During an Endruance Ride

the archives and can't find any information. Is it okay to feed grain
(Enduro-Event which is 10% Fat 10% Protien) at every VC or should I give him
beet pulp? And how much do I feed? He's not much of a hay eater especially
at the VC and there's not always grass so I need to feed him something.

Not that I'm the last word in endurance nutrition, but try this:

http://www.shady-acres.com/susan/metabolicpull1.shtml

It will give you a start on some suggestions. I'll get Part 2 over to the
Web Goddess this morning, and Part 3 will go up in a few weeks once the
August issue of EN goes out.

But the short answer suggestion would be soaked beet pulp mixed with a
little grain, plus whatever hay/grass you can get into him.
