RE: portable corrals

If you want to go the corral route I would make them yourself.  You can buy all the parts at Home Depot.  Just take standard PVC piping and standard connectors and build panel sections to the desired length.  You then take eye hooks (essentially bolt with a loop on the end) and put a couple at the ends of each panel.  To connect the panels you take a section of thin re-bar and slide it through the two panels corresponding eye hooks.  You can make the panel system independent of the trailer or you can hook the end panels to the trailer and increase the size of the corral.  This route ends up being very cheap and the panel sections are not very heavy, so you don't have to be superwoman.

Panels look like this:

  AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
 -A                                    A-
  A                                    A
 -AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-
  A                                    A
  A                                    A
  A                                    A

I prefer a good solid home-made sky hook.  Any good welder can whip one up for you and they are much easier to cart around.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Subject: RC: portable corrals

Hi All,
Going down my shopping list for xp2001, I'm now in the market for portable corrals.  I can't remember whether there's ever been a discussion here about them or not.  I'd really appreciate any input or leads to a thread in the archives.  I don't want hot wire but I do need to be able to set the things up myself and I'm not superwoman!
Thanks!
Laney
