jumps on trails

Well....maybe a tiny bit fun. I had a nice twisting turning rollercoaster
trail that was good for a quick ride before dark or a "short fast day"
work out. Then a very pushy jumping horse rider moved into the
neighborhood and without a word piled up trees and even cut a few on my
trail. She put three no higher than 18" on a long hill Kaboot was used to
sprinting. Kaboot doesn't change patterns very well so now we sprint up
this hill and he usually comes into the jumps wrong and has to jump them
really big. On the flat he soon learned that I have to release while he
jumps, so he can be in a perfect extended trot and land at a gallop.
That's better than my daughter's pony who lands bucking.

Yesterday there was a great big spider web with a fat orange spider
positioned perfectly of a jump so I got to deal with Kaboot in turbo mode
jumping long, face being plastered with spiderweb and fat orange (rather
confused) spider stuck to my shirt. >shudder< This is the time of year I
start riding with a stick with leaves on it out in front of me just to
tear all the webs down. I also worry about the stacked logs being the
perfect place for a snake to lay around. One good thing. It's been a
year since ol' busybody moved and the three on my hill have slowly melted
down to where they're going to make decent water bars.
