I'm not sure I follow your thinking.  Reports are that the horse did fine at the vet checks.  No one has posted (or I have not read a post) saying what the cause of death was, but it does seem likely to be related to falling down the ravine - which might have happened to any horse/rider team, even if they'd been on a pleasure ride at a slow 3 mph   pace over that section of trail.  I don't see that there is anything indisputable about racing being related to the cause of death.  Whether or not the rider is/was abusive aside from that is another issue entirely, isn't it?  Lif
