RE: theraflex pads
<<Why do you need more blood flow in your horses feet? Is there a problem
with
her feet that this would help? How does your horse respond to frog pressure?
Just a few thoughts.RD>>
I have learned both from people who advocate barefootedness and from my
farrier who definitely advocated shoes that the shoe reduces the hoof
mechanism by restricting normal movement and therefore restricting blood
flow. I would be interested in hearing if these theraflex pads can have a
positive impact on blood flow in the hood because my mare definitely seems
to have lost feeling in her feet after I had her shod again. She just
doesn't seem to care to pick her feet up enough to go over small rocks and
roots now.
