Yes, you are right but if I understand correctly, "they" only use the top 10 
for BC. I think a BC would be great if RM used all the LD riders entered.  My 
main concern was not having a award for racing i.e "top ten" but to have some 
type of award that all who entered the LD ride could qualify for.

But wouldn't a BC for LD REWARD the person who was NOT racing, but rather was 
riding the horse well within the limits of its conditioning?  Why not reward 
the person who conditioned and paced their horse well even though the ride 
was not for a full 50 miles?  I think there should ONLY be a BC award in LD 
and no mention made of who finished first through tenth.
