TRIBUTE TO THE UNITED STATES

I really enjoyed reading your post.  The rest of the world tends to engage
in some US-bashing, and South Africa is no exception, without considering
what was contained in your post.  We also seldom consider where we would be
without the United States.  Just in our daily lives, where would we be
without:


coca-cola
Macdonalds
the internet
Microsoft
George Lucas & Stephen Spielberg
Disney?



and in the greater scheme of things, where would we be without:

NATO, of which the States is such a vital part
the UN, which relies heavily on funding, manpower and research by the States
AIDS research, of which the States is at the forfront
Space exploration, which lets us dream?


And I, for one, would not survive without my favourite author, American
Raymond E Feist, or my favourite website, Ridecamp!


Now, if you guys could just export some of your Beet Pulp to me, I'd be
eternally grateful.
