I switched to the plain white salt blocks a couple of years ago when I
accidentally discovered that my mare *much* preferred them to the red block
salt.  As a semi-urban horse owner (Oakland, CA), I don't have real feed
stores readily available. :(  That's why I was wondering if the salt in the
white salt blocks is the same as table salt.  It is a lot easier to find a
grocery store around here than a feed store.
