There is also a condition called anhydrosis (sp?) that is very serious.  The 
horse doesn't sweat and, therefore, doesn't cool and it can potentially be 
fatal.  I read about it in Equus magazine a while back.  Heidi, (or any other 
vets) do you know anything more about it?
