I dunno - sometimes they just get silly.  Drunk _and_ boring.  Even worse

That's one thing about you horsey types - you're used to shoving 1000 lb
animals around all the time - a mere 185 lb man could get badly hurt if he
didn't watch himself...

I'd much rather deal with interesting times than be bored...
