Dogwood Challenge

Hey Ridecampers,
Well I just want to put in a little note saying thanks to Lisa Stein for
putting on the Dogwood Challenge in southern MO. This was Lisa second time
at putting this ride on and she did a great job. The first year there was
trouble with the marking of the trail, but Lisa ensured that it would not
happen again this year. Up until the ride started Lisa was out putting up
more ribbons that someone had removed.
The Vets were great! After I finished the ride they asked me to come back in
an hour or two just to make sure my horse was alright for the trailer ride
home. Oh, and my horse finished with all a's so they were just watching out
for the horses because of the heat and humidity. That's what I call good
horsemanship on the Vets part. They cared about our animals. Thanks Dr.
Baldwin.
I'm sure this ride will become one of the better ones in the Mid-west as it
is a very challenging ride, with lots of hills and that MO rock that at
times looks like the stairway to -ell. Oh, watch those trees they seem to
jump out and try to bit your knees.
Good luck Lisa at the Tevis.
