I kind of got sick of spending £100's on saddle only to have yet another
problem!I had a sports saddle whinch I imported to teh uk cost me $1200 in
all with post, customs duty etc. It was great for my horses back but killed
my hips so i couldnt ride very far without constant pain.

I shopped around looking at specialist distance saddles , all of which were
expensive and all of which had as many critics as they had people who loved
them. So I gave up and bought a wintec 500 AP just before christmas. I
figured as it fits well its unlikely to do any more ahrm to my horse than
any other saddle, and I didnt go broke buying it.

I am using it for training and schooling at the moment and plan to do CTrs
and maybe ( tempting the Endurance gods here) ERs.

Mine was fitted by a saddler who is training to be a master saddler here in
the UK. It fits my horse very well. Hes hard to fit as hes wide with very
big shoulders and a slightly dipped back ( thats herediatary hes a welsh cob
and most have dipped ish backs. I guess they are like any saddle though,
they suit mine but might not suit every over horse!

I use mine with an impact numnah. these are made out of a very thin
breathable foam (looks a bit like neopreen) Once the horses back warms up
the pad adheres the saddle to the horses back. the new leather look wintecs
are a bit slippy on the horse. I was interested that you use ultra cell
inserts - do they heat your horse back at all as I was considering this
option?

I aldo use wintecs new girth its like a balding girth, is elastic and of a
very soft material , it softens once its been used a few times. Like the
saddle you just dunk it in water to clean.its also very cheap!

the only problem iv had with the saddle is that it can be slippy to ride on.
Do you have this problem. mines all over leather style. Iv been recomended
by other wintec fnas to use 'stick bum' type jodphurs.

Any way good luck.

Tamara
