Endurance Horses

Lynn Salisbury lasah@uswest.net
OK with all this talk about horses and prices, if your willing
to spend (maybe we really don't know what horses cost) why is it
so hard to find a suitable horse. For anyone with a nice,
sensible, sound horse who is ready to go down the trail I have a
friend who is looking for that special horse. The perfect horse
(and she knows she'll have to compromise but she'd prefer it not
be size or price) for her would be an 8 yr old arab gelding 15+
hands, substantial, leggy(she is 5'9"), nice looking, suitable
for an adv beg rider. This woman has been pleasure riding
extremely technical trail for 6 years supported by regular
dressage lessons so she isn't green. She is not looking for a
top horse or even a 50 mile horse. She just wants a nice,
sensible, uncomplicated horse that won't dump her in the dirt.
(Please no green horses. She recognizes her capabilities.) She
would like to start out this year riding slow LD's (she may end
up in CTR) and continue her dressage lessons. Since everybody
always wants to know up front, her budget is up to $7500 max.
Anybody have such a beast? She is in Colorado and offers a
really nice home with pasture turnout. e-mail me privately if
you think you can help.
