Re: Wish me luck, I can really use some

Thanks, Angie. You're right. I went out today and exercised a mare that a
friend had ridden in the 20 km with lovely scores. Zena (one of the kids who
was with me) didn't want to do the 50 and had doubts about the mare's
fitness and wanted me to check it. If she'd been fit, I'd have been tempted
to grab her, but there is something definitely not right with her. That set
it for me this morning. I'm managing the next two rides and waiting for my
mare and gelding to be sound, while I try to help others with their
training. Much the best plan. The doctor is still drooling over my kneecap,
but I figure I'll wait til it's really ripe for the surgery...like July,
when riding is really miserable. Problem with riders is that we have such
high tolerance for discomfort, it takes too much to get our attention.
