Re: borium shoes

I use borium in the summer.  We have decomposed granite here; when it's dry it is like sliding on ball bearings.  Have had no problems anywhere on the trail, including hardpan, asphalt, and hard granite.  Only in the trailer... my horse sometimes paws and she shreds the mats, so now I run borium (extra fine) on the rears, only.  This is working for me.

Does anyone else use borium shoes in the winter? If you do, have you had any problems when riding on hard-packed dirt roads when your horse still had borium shoes on? TIA!
