I liked Sunday morning when we decided to ride our mares to the end of the 
road instead of trailer them - fewer bumps, and they got to stretch their 
legs before the ride home. We felt a little like teh Cartwrights, wandering 
through the cattle, listening to them low - until - the BULL! He lowered his 
massive head and shook his horns at us, daring us to come an INCH closer to 
his current love interest - a lovely(??) black skirt. We waited until he 
passed a little further fom the road and then proceeded - BUT - he spotted us 
and turned again to snort at us! We aceded to his demands and waited longer 
this time until he passed into another - and more remote - area o fthe 
pasture, with his sweetheart following. We breathed a sigh of reliefe and 
proceeded with caution.

Congratulations to Steve Shaw and team for putting on a beautiful ride
with perfectly marked trails.  Ample water,  carpets of wildflowers,
gorgeous scenery, nice loops, good vetting, fun dinner and awards!    For
the first ride in this area, it  was a real pro job.   Hopefully the
landowner will expand  the campsite  next year.    I look forward to
doing a SLOPOST multi-day  in the future.   Regards,   Connie B
