Re: Re: Indian Thumb Print

Oh, no!! Not RASP marks! :) However, you know, we have heard horror
stories. Just wish THOSE guys could find out what a rasp feels like!!
Funny story....recently we were shoeing at a big barn that Nelson used to
do many years ago and turned it over to another fellow when he was working
too many hours trucking to keep it up. He's back in there now with one
horse. A rival farrier does the shoeing there now and the original guy
that Nelson turned it over to does the broodmare trims. Well, we have
picked up a lot of business in this area from folks who hate the guy who
does the shoeings. He does hit horses with his rasp and gets impatient and
smacks them around and wants to twitch them or lip chain them for the
slightest infractions. He doesn't even LIKE or OWN horses!! I think what
he does like is playing with his forge (pyromaniac?)...makes a big show of
it. Anyway, we are patiently waiting for this big barn to realize what so
many other horse owners have realized about him. He is short tempered and
mean (I have seen the evidence). Anyway, when we were there last time, so
was he. He was shoeing a mare that was having none of it...she finally
lunged forward when he was working on her hind feet and made him sit down
hard on the cement floor on his RASP.... nuff said.
