Hi, Campers,

RE: Learning who owns a certain piece of property..the easiest way is to locate the area on a map and take it to your local County Office (where you get stuff like building permits, septic permits, etc). There's usually an office that specializes in property. They'll look the area up in the county plat mat that area (it's usually listed by TRS...Township, Range and Section.)and be able to tell you who owns the property.

Or even easier..if there's someone who's got a for sale sign up in the immediate area, call the realtor and ask him who owns that specific area. They have faster access to information like that then the state does!

The best thing is to assume that it's privately owned.
