Didn't see a reply on RC about this.  Valerian is illegal.  (If you check
out the catalogue, A Drop in the Bucket, which sells herbals, she states in
there that valerian is not legal)  KavaKava may be illegal, too.  I believe
both have narcotic-like effects.  Even though they're plant-derived, it
doesn't mean they're not drugs.  Some of the drugs we use today are
originally refined/purified from natural products (mainly plants).  One of
these days, when I have a spare couple hundred bucks, I'm going to buy a
handbook of herbal medicine, put out by CRC press that gives the history of
use, action, toxicity, photos, and some interactions of just about every
herbal/homeopathic product out there.
