trail gelding, mare for sale/lease, SE PA

9yo gelding for sale (BO by April 1) or local (50 mi) lease. 14.3H, was
hard-working camp horse last year in VA 7days/week (lots of LSD). Loves
trail, healthy, not too spooky, good in traffic. Positive, forward, very
perky attitude, but sometimes bad manners, so not for young children to
handle. He should win in limited distance endurance this year, just needs
vet-check handling training (goosy). Obedient and soft-mouthed under
saddle.

18yo mare, bomb-proof, smooth ride. Gamed 4 yrs (including racing on packed
dirt roads) before her rescue. She is fat and healthy now, easy keeper,
very well behaved, very easy to handle. She *usually* needs to be walked
for the first several minutes after tacking up, and then again after
mounting, however, because she expects that you want her to race because of
her training. No disobedience, however, just extremely responsive and
forward like a racing Corvette, so not for *very* young children to ride.
Has a good "whoa", very soft mouth, and is robustly healthy. No vices; a
little mare-y in spring heat only, then *very* businesslike from then on.
Does it all. Very fun to ride!

Reason: I have two older mares coming back that we didn't expect ("didn't
get along" with new owner's other, ancient horses) No room! I may have to
put the 23yo mare down because I've been trying to give her away for over a
year (unsound for big children to ride).

All purebred Arabians, going in light, little-leverage hackamores or
snaffles. Current Coggins, shots. Must place; they won't last! Call NOW,
or tell your friends. 610/489-1419 near Limerick, PA
