clipping/blanketing

Hi,

If one were to clip a horse, assuming it is not raining, at what temp would
people advise blanketing?  I am in the SF bay area.....  It has recently
been in the high 60's and low 70's in the daytime and in the 40's at night.
The horse is not in a stall; he has a turnout that is about 50' x70' with
shelter.
