This whole thread on clipping is of interest to me, as in the 30+ years I have
worked with horses I 've never known anyone that clipped AFTER a horse started
shedding, and have always believed (because I was taught that!) it is
detrimental to the incoming summer coat??

Anyone else have thoughts/experience on this? I have a very shaggy horse and he
is shedding fistfuls of hair, and I would never consider clipping him......but
now I wonder? Do any of you really do this every year and does it interfere with
the summer coat quality??
