 Hi Kim,
Welcome to Ridecamp...a great place to learn how other people do the 
endurance "thing". Sometimes things get a little weird, but endurance people 
aren't your average bunch. Good luck, maybe you can find someone near you to 
show you the ropes before your first ride.
