Subject: RC: Teeth:

I'm lucky enough to have an equine vet who took a bunch of specialized
dental courses after graduating. It is a joy to watch him work and
after seeing the difference, I would never allow anyone to work on my
horses' teeth without being sedated. Most of the problems with teeth
seem to be wayyyy back in the jaw and it seems impossible to get back
there without a mouth speculum. I sure wouldn't want one of those in a
horse's mouth without sedation.

After reading of all the trouble various people have had, I believe it's
worth going looking for a vet with the dental experience. (Unless
you're rich enough to have a dental tech and a vet out at the same time
which, if I was that rich, I'd probably just buy another horse <g>)
