RE: eye ointments

Bluish eye could mean an old corneal ulcer scar.  I nursed my horse
through a corneal ulcer with triple antibiotic (no steriods) and he
still has a bluish spot in his eye and a little vision obstruction.
It took a few months to heal and was very labor intensive to nurse,
but I believe the constant application of antibiotic saved his eye.

Good point, Elaine
We have one mare with one bluish eye and limited vision and our vet told
us her previous owner probably put a steroid eye ointment on a scratched
eyeball. Sad, although she seems to have compensated well.
