I think somewhere in the neighborhood of 50 cases per year in horses
nationwide. These numbers are several years old - published in Equus a while
back.

Are there many cases in other states of horses with rabies. By law we are
required to give our dogs rabies shots and tags. Horses are not required to
have shots but we give them once a year. Alot of racoon and foxes around
here with the disease. Also skunks! Mike
