I don't know about others, but we have seen it here in PA also. We have a
lot of racoons and possums, and the coons especially seem a problem. We just
had a case 2 weeks ago in my neighborhood of a rabid coon coming from the
woods and attacking 3 family dogs!

When they are rabid, they'll attack anything, and unfortunately, I have
curious George's for horses. So they all get vaccinated! In a case like
that, it's easy for them to be exposed to a bite, those rabbid racoons will
go right after whatever they focus on. I killed one in my driveway 2 years
ago with an ax after it came after me and Mike and our cat! I hated to have
to do that, I hate killing anything, but I'm enough of a survivalist to know
when it's between them and me!
