Re: RC: rain scald/rain rot

Hi Jenny
I just treated the infected area. Now the vet told me the ivermectin was
to make sure there were absolutely no little worms hiding in the horse
who escaped normal worming (and I worm every other month) which could
weaken the immune system. It seemed to work because I had tried just
using the fungicide and it was still hanging on in a few places . Now
someone just posted to ridecamp that they use a 50/50 bleach/water
formula which gets rid of it in one dose. That would be great, but as
Pat Super just posted, is that too drying? We need to hear from a vet
about that because if it is OK, boy, it would sure be a lot less bother.
Good luck!
