12 Hours to ride time. The images of the Vet In and trot out are available. More will follow, but this will give you a flavor of the excitement. 12 horses didn't vet in. We don't know which ones yet. 178 starters from 41 countries.

3 days till it happens and everyone is focused. You can almost FEEL it as they practice the minute details that will bring success on the 27th. Final adjustments, reviewing of lists, making sure the logistics are under control and always -- that the horses are ready!!

The quarantine barns house all of the participating equines upon their arrival to the Endurance City. Arrivals started on 7 Jan will will continue through 25Jan (when the local UAE horses will be brought to the venue). All quarantine facilities are closely guarded with identification required to gain interance. Only team riders, grooms, and officials are allowed within the Quarantine areas.

Most of those that traveled with the horses are staying at the dormitories which are located in the Endurance City near the main facilities. The images show the various teams as they enjoy the dorm cuisine! Comradery is part of the endurance spirit!

The Bab al Shams hotel has been constructed at the site of the Dubai Endurance City to provide housing for some of the participants of the event. Who gets to stay there can be a point of contention between team members, but being Chef d' Equip does generally have it privileges. This album provides a bit of a sense as to the comforts, architecture, and amenities of the the hotel.

| The National Cup Race occurred on 13 January. It was held in the new Dubai Endurance City providing a test of the facility as it reaches final preparations for the 2004 World Endurance Championships. The images of the National Cup ride provide you with an overview of the facilities and give you a flavor of what Endurance Racing at the World Championships will be like. |
