OLD SELAM PIONEER
September 4th, 5th, and 6th 2026

Endurance, Limited Distance, and Trail Rides

With 3 glorious days of riding in the breathtaking mountains of the beautiful Boise Basin, where gold was discovered in 1862, and beautiful treasures are still found today.

Day 1 – Friday September 4,  50 and 25 mile endurance rides + Intro ride

Day 2 – Saturday September 5,  50 and 25 mile endurance rides + Intro ride

Day 3 – Sunday September 6, 100, 75, 50 and 25 mile endurance rides +Intro ride

Introductory rides will be available all 3 days  flyer.

Directions:  From I-84 in Boise take Hwy 21 NE 36 miles to Idaho City. Turn Left (north) onto Montgomery St.  At the end of the street, turn left (west) and continue for 7 miles (dirt road between towns) to Centerville.  Turn right (north) onto Henry’s creek Rd. and continue approx. ½ mile into camp.  Note: we do NOT recommend traveling up Grimes Creek.

Weed Free Hay is required due to use of Forest Service lands.
 
Horse water will be supplied, but bring people water.  Dogs are always welcome, but must be leashed at all times.  Do NOT bring dogs to registration, vet area, ride meetings or awards dinner.  FIRE danger is very real this time of year – only one community fire will be allowed, if any.

FEE Schedule: 25- & 50-Mile rides $145, 75 Mile ride $190, 100 Mile ride $250.  Current year/reciprocating ride managers 50% discount (one day only; other days at full price). Intro Rides $35 per day. Non-AERC members will be subject to an additional $20 per day non-member fee for competitive distances.

Pay at the ride: cash or checks only.

JUNIORS (under age 18 as of 1/1/26) ride FREE

Trails:  Trails are primarily old logging roads, ATV and single-track trails on private property, US Forest Service and Idaho State Lands.The terrain is rolling with mostly nice,sandy footing, but there are water crossings and rocky sections through dredged creek banks. Hoof Protection is STRONGLY recommended for all horses. 

Meetings: Registration starts at approximately 4 pm on Thursday. Pre-ride meeting at approx. 7 pm.
