For the stallion owner, COBS offers semen collection using either a breeding phantom or our ovariectomized jump mare. (We offer training to the phantom for owners who wish to have their stallions learn to breed using one.) We are set up to evaluate semen, and package and ship it. We offer consultation with the mare owners and veterinarians receiving fresh cooled semen from our facility. We have some space to board stallions if owners wish to do so. We can also collect and evaluate semen from stallions whose owners are not planning to ship, but who want to know what sort of semen quality their stallion has.

For mare owners, we offer a complete breeding service for receiving semen, including board of the mare while she is in heat, daily palpation to time breeding, consultation with the shipper to have semen available at the appropriate time, and insemination of the mare. We offer prebreeding workups and post-breeding ultrasounds to determine pregnancy.
