Lori,
We used Tiz Whiz for years - no problems or "unusual hoof growth".  What
did it look like?  Was it a growth ring from a change in feed or
something more serious?  Our horses bloomed n Tiz Whiz & kept their
weight up much better than some other feeds that we tried.
