Frank Solano posed some interesting questions in his post
I LIKE RIDECAMP BUT.....
One in particular caught my eye - how frequently do all of you ride who
are actively campaigning distance horses? And do you work a regular 40+
hour work week that does not include horses? I have a yearling filly
that I hope to compete in the Tevis Cup when she is seven - should I
plan on taking a year or two off work to get her conditioned for that?
Or is it entirely possible to condition a horse and work full time? I
have wonderful trails within 20 minutes drive time of my home, but
during the winter months daylight hours are at a real premium - I go to
work in the dark and come home in the dark!
