The first thing I would look into is....how are the horses teeth? Of the
last 5 horses I worked with they all had the SAME problem, and I saw it
the most at the trot, canter and stop. Anytime there was contact with the
bit..... they had sharp teeth and were trying to avoid the bit...in some
cases they would run ahead of the bit and not stop at all. (Except for
the horses that were too far gone by the time I got them) I noticed that
they all needed there teeth floated and floating them created a new horse
once they realized there was no pain from the bit. I am amazed at how
many people are unaware of this neccessity. Some horses need it done
every 6 months. (to some of you this may sound like common sense, but I
feel it needs to be said for the many who don't and are having a
difficult time with their horses)

Karolyn, Sage (new horse after having teeth floated) Taco (will have my
teeth floated as soon as my new mommy gets me home), and Gretta (the dog,
her teeth are fine)
