Thanks for the information at hand,,, Is this all, or am I missing the rest
of the posting......just checking.
Here is another thought. "NOT" going to get in an argument about the
balance of ca and p on paper as this product stands alone. "I WILL LOOSE".
No delusions on that issue....
What I'm interested in:
WHY it works the way we use it.
(Shortly after weaning) Could it possibly have any thing to do with the
shock of weaning off mothers milk and stress?
(at times a nursing mare) Do these events deplete calcium levels?
Does an injury deplete calcium levels during the healing process?
What in general will cause the lack of absorption or deplete calcium levels?
Foaling mare? (before and after)
Lactation?
Drugs?
Low internal temp.? High internal temp?
Infection?
Virus?
Drinking excess water?
Stress?
Growing (spirts)
Other minerals? Such as potassium.
Where in out horses diet do we get higher p naturally?
Will some one PLEASE list the situations where calcium can be depleted
etc.? or May be this will explain to ME, my VOODOO approach to calf
manna.
To make this ENDURANCE related, what situations would cause depletion
during training, comp, and injury recovery........(In general, this is old
stuff for most of you.)
If you want to educate me on the hazards of using calf manna. These are
the questions which need answering so I can review my past usage of the
product......
I often have random CBC's pulled on my guys, How would an imbalance of
ca and p be indicated on blood work?.......... to much ca?
Thanks
Sigrid (Who doesn't mind a slap on the hand.........but......offer
more information to me than the words "never".) In laymans terms of
coarse.
